  • Tough As Nails Challenge
    The Tough As Nails Challenge is the first of its kind in the Wheeling area. As part of the Ogden Wellness Weekend, the race gives participates a unique perspective of Wheeling during the 6-mile, 20 obstacle race. 
  • Mountain East Conference (MEC) Men's and Women's Basketball Championship
    The Health Plan is proud to be the presenting host for the Mountain East Conference Basketball Championships. The MEC features 12 NCAA Division II institutions in three states and sponsors 23 championship sports.
  • American Heart Association (AMA) - Ohio Valley Heart Ball
    The Ohio Valley's premier black-tie event.  For over 50 years, the Ohio Valley Heart Ball has attracted the area's largest companies and most recognized corporate, healthcare and social leaders.  It is a unique evening designed to celebrate the success of the year-round campaign and the generosity of individuals.
  • Taste-of-All Charleston
    As part of Charleston’s Festival’s Memorial Day Weekend celebrations, Taste-of-ALL offers samples for the area’s best restaurants with live entertainment, kids’ activities, cooking demos, cook-offs, and more!
  • A Special Wish Ohio Valley - Lip Sync Challenge
    ASWOV is a local wish-granting organization that grants wishes to local children in the Ohio Valley.  
  • Charleston - Live on the Levee
  • This free concert series is and hosted by the City of Charleston.The Health Plan is excited to be a part of the return of this event and is a proud sponsor.

    Project Hope provides a stable and supportive environment for women and their children so they can work toward long-term recovery, developing healthy parenting skills and building safe family relationships.
  • Wheeling Nailers Hockey
    The Wheeling Nailers, an ECHL ice hockey team based in Wheeling, WV, Title "AA" affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL.
  • West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission (WVSSAC)
    The Health Plan is a proud partner with the WVSSSAC. The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission is the main governing body of high school sports, cheerleading, and marching bands in West Virginia. Schools are divided into three classes by total enrollment in grades 9-12: A, AA, and AAA, with schools re-classed every four years.
  • Mountain East Conference (MEC)
    The Health Plan is a proud partner with the MEC. The Mountain East Conference represents twelve (12) member institutions in Division II of the NCAA.   The purpose of the Conference shall be to assist its member institutions to build and maintain intercollegiate athletics programs that are compatible with the highest standards of education and competitive sports.
  • Ohio Valley Athletic Conference
    Today, the OVAC is the largest and most functional high school Conference of its kind in the United States. A total of 46 schools supply the upper Ohio Valley with over 12,000 athletes in the various competitive athletic areas.It is the basic objective of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference to continue the promotion of all high school athletics and to serve in the overall development of proper school relationship, scholarship, and sportsmanship within the Conference.
    Charleston Dirty Birds
    The Charleston Dirty Birds are a professional baseball team in West Virginia, part of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.  The Health Plan is proud to sponsor their Community Family Section at each home game.

  • WVU Cancer Institute 5K Run and Walk
    As part of WVU Cancer Institute’s Annual Spring Gala, this event is one of many celebrating the Cancer Institute’s progressive efforts to improve the health of West Virginians through world-class cancer care.
  • Oglebay Institute's Art of Healing Exhibition
    The Art of Healing exhibition explores the therapeutic power of the creative process to address the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of cancer patients and their loved ones. The exhibition evokes a better understanding of the everyday challenges of those affected by cancer, honors the lives and memories of those fighting the disease and illustrates how art provides a sense of healing, belonging and relating in situations filled with uncertainty.
  • SMART5.29K Run and Walk
    The SMART5.29K raises money to establish SMART529 College Savings Plans for children recently adopted out of the foster care system in West Virginia. All proceeds from the 5.29K registration will be deposited into SMART529 College Savings Accounts.
  • American Heart Association Heart Walk
    The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association's premier event for raising funds to save lives from this country's No. 1 and No. 5 killers - heart disease and stroke. The Health Plan has participated as a company in Heart Walks located in the Ohio Valley, Stark County, Greater Morgantown, Charleston areas.
  • Clay Center for the Arts
    The Clay Center’s mission is to inspire creativity, learning and wonder through experiences in the Arts and Sciences for all people of West Virginia and the region. The Health Plan has been a proud sponsor of the Da Vinci – Inventions exhibit and the Disney Junior Dance Party.
  • King’s Daughters Dragon Boat Race
    The King’s Daughters Dragon Boat Race is an annual fundraiser for the King’s Daughters Child Care Center. The organization provides care for children in a nurturing, safe environment encouraging educational experiences, which promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
